Moral :

Once up on a time there was a fox that was different from other foxes. When all other foxes were greedy for a chicken this fox would do anything for a bunch of grapes. As it walked along, it came across a delicious –looking bunch of grapes hanging from a vine. But it hung on a wall, just a little beyond its reach. It stood licking its lips and gazing longingly at the grapes, wondering how to get them. Then it started jumping towards them. Soon the fox started getting agitated. It jumped and it jumped, each time a bit higher. A hare passing by cheered it on. But all that encouragement could not help it reach the grapes.

“Forget them”, said the fox, “ I am sure they are sour!” And swallowing its disappointment, it went its way.

“Oh, my! Oh, my!” the fox said as his mouth began to water. “Sweet grape juice, quench my thirst!”

The fox stood on tiptoe and stretched as high as he could, but the grapes were out of his reach.
Not about to give up, the fox walked back a short distance and took a running leap at the grapes. Again, he could not reach the grapes.
The fox jumped and leapt, again and again, but each time he could not reach the grapes. Until, at last, the fox was tired and thirstier than ever.
“What a fool I am!” said the fox furiously. He said “These grapes are sour and not fit for eating. Why would I want them anyway?”

Moral: Some people disdain and underestimate what they cannot have.

On a sunny afternoon, a tired and thirsty fox went around looking for food. Having lost it’s way, he hoped there would at least be a lake around. His dried throat was beginning to prick him now.

With every step forward, the fox was losing hope. His drooping eyes looked for anything which could quench it thirst if not satisfy his hunger. Just when he thought that he could no more walk he saw a grape vine ahead. His happiness had no bound! Grapes would not only quench his thirst but even satisfy the hungry!

The fox jumped up to the first bunch of grapes he saw. Unable to reach it he moved forward to another bunch. He stepped back to gain momentum and jumped once more. But he still couldn’t reach the grapes. Disappointed the fox came out of the grape vine.

“The grapes were sour, I guess,” thought the fox.
