The Lion and The Mouse Short Story

One day a lion was sleeping under a tree in a forest. A mouse came there and unexpectedly it ran across the lion. Suddenly the lion woke up and caught the mouse. Shivering mouse said, “Oh King! Please excuse and leave this tiny creature. One day I will help you.” The lion laughed, “Ha ha ha.. Are you going to help me!!”. Then the lion excused and left the tiny mouse.

And the other day, the lion was walking in the forest and it got trapped in a hunter’s net. It shouted for help. A tiny mouse came there and started biting the net until the lion came out of the trap. From that day, those two became good friends.

Moral of the story: Kindness repays.

Once upon a time, there was a mouse and a lion live in a forest. One day the mouse got too close to a lion. The lion started to eat the mouse. “Spare me!” cried the mouse, “And someday I will repay your kindness.” The lion let the mouse go, although he couldn’t imagine how such a tiny creature could even help him. One day, the lion was caught in a hunter’s net. He roared in misery. The little mouse came to his rescue and gnawed through the ropes holding the lion.

“Once upon a time, there was a lion in the Jungle. when a lion, One day the lion was asleep under a big tree. Suddenly a little mouse began running up and down on him. By this activity, the lion awakens and catches the little mouse in his paw. The lion wants to eat the lion.

“Pardon, O King!” cried the little mouse. “Forgive me this time. I shall never repeat it and I shall never forget your kindness. And who knows, I may be able to do you a good turn one of these days!”

The lion was so tickled by the idea of the mouse being able to help him that he lifted his paw and let him go.

Sometime later, a few hunters captured the lion and tied him to a big tree. After that they went in search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo. The life felt really helpless as he could do nothing and he knew that he would live his whole life in a zoo and he felt sad.

Just then, the little Mouse happened to pass by. On seeing the lion’s plight, he ran up to him and gnawed away the ropes that bound him, the king of the jungle.

“Was I not right?” said the little mouse, very happy to help the lion. The lion was very happy with this kind act of the little mouse. What he did next was really amazing. He called all the animals of the forest the next evening and announced that the little mouse would be promoted to being his commander. So in the first time in the history of the jungle, a mouse became a commander to the mighty lion. All the animals cheered for the mouse during the coronation ceremony.”

A kindness is never wasted.

Once upon a time (she always loves her stories to begin with that) in a land far..far..away, there was a lion, the king of the jungle.

One day when the lion was asleep, a tiny little mouse began running up and down on him. This soon awakened the lion, who placed his huge paw on the mouse, and opened his big jaws to swallow him. Ummhhh……

“Pardon, O King!” cried the little mouse. “Please, please, please… Forgive me this time. I shall never do it again and I shall never forget your kindness if you let me go. And who knows, I may be able to do you help in return one of these days if I am saved today!”

The lion was so tickled by the idea of the mouse being able to help him and said “Ha ha ha… How can a tiny mouse-like you be able to help the mighty king…?”. Saying that the lion lifted his paw and let him go.

Some days later, there was a big sound in the jungle and all the animals and birds were running away… a few hunters captured the lion, and tied him to a tree. After that they went in search of a wagon, to take him to the zoo.

Just then the little Mouse happened to pass by. On seeing the lion in trouble, he remembered how the lion let him free the other day and ran up to him. There were sounds of squeaks that came from behind the lion and when the lion turned to see what it was, he saw the little mouse gnawing away the ropes that bound him, the king of the jungle.

Soon, the mouse broke the ropes and let the lion out. “Was I not right? Didn’t I tell you that one day I will be able to help you?” said the little mouse and was very happy to help the lion. The lion smiled and hugged the little mouse…

MORAL: Small acts of kindness will be rewarded greatly, no matter how big or small you are.
